習其道、學其言、效其行。老師對我們一生的影響足以深入靈魂，在我們心中種下的那顆“種子”始終在心靈深處綻放，未來的某一天終將結(jié)出最絢爛的花朵最豐碩的果實。

老師就是這樣一群人，是除家人以外教會我們最多道理的人，會因我們每一次小小的進步而雀躍，滿懷期待地看著我們成長。孜孜不倦，指引著我們?nèi)松姆较颉⑾滦┰S陽光，足以溫暖半生。

值此教師節(jié)到來之際，我們特意邀請了“全國教書育人楷模”、連元英禾雙語學校總顧問沈茂德先生，向全體教育工作者們送出誠摯的節(jié)日寄語，向有責任、有情懷、有熱愛、有豐富內(nèi)心的教師們致敬，更祝所有的老師們，教師節(jié)快樂！

幾十年的教育實踐，我得出這樣一個結(jié)論：一所好的學校，不僅在學生心中，在家長心中，其實，好的學校，更在教師手中！

After decades in education, I have come to the conclusion that a good school is not only in the hearts of students and parents. Good schools are, in fact, in the hands of teachers!

純粹的教師，他的品質(zhì)叫責任

教師的崗位有大責任，因為孩子們的名字叫明天，校園生活里，每一個平凡的日子，想起責任，我們自然剔除了煩躁的雜質(zhì)。用全部的激情去影響和鑄成孩子們有品質(zhì)的人生，就是教師的崇高。

Teachers have great responsibility, because children are the future. In school and everyday life, it is our responsibility to remove any impurities and use our passion to influence children's personal qualities and their lives.

純粹的教師有大情懷

學校是孩童最先、最深體驗到的“社會”。教師則是這個“社會”中點燃價值火把的人。真、善、美，所有的判斷都在教師的一言一行中流露出來，形成學校的空氣，形塑著孩童敏感的心靈。日積月累，就構(gòu)成了社會價值觀的底色。

School is the first and most important ‘society’ that children experience, and teachers are the ones who ignite the torch of value. Truth, goodness and beauty are revealed through a teacher's words and deeds, creating a school’s atmosphere and shaping the sensitive minds of its children. Over time, this becomes the foundation of social values.

純粹的教師特別寧靜

中外優(yōu)秀教師的共同品質(zhì)都是極端寧靜的。享受海量的閱讀，置身于與學生思想互動的課堂，每天面對蓬勃生長的學生，幸福就在這樣寧靜的氛圍中彌漫開來……

Both Chinese and international teachers share the virtue of being calming influences on their students. They enjoy reading and creating classroom environments that nourish students' minds and help them flourish. Happiness is spread in such calming atmospheres.

與學生相處，最重要的是能走進學生的內(nèi)心。“一旦學生內(nèi)心接受了你，你就成了真正的老師?！眱?yōu)秀的中外教師都是行走在校園內(nèi)的教科書，這本書的扉頁上寫著“學為人師，行為世范”，這本書的每一章分別鐫刻著責任、愛心、耐心、呵護、陪伴、幫助……

In order to get along with students, it’s crucial to be able to win over their hearts:" Once a student accepts you, then you become a real teacher.” Excellent teachers are a book that walks on their students. They enjoy reading and creating classroom environments that nourish students' minds and help them flourish. Happiness is spread in such calming atmospheres.

我們應該永遠銘記：教師職業(yè)平淡，但在你的手中是許許多多正在成長的生命，每一個都如此不同，每一個都如此重要，全部對未來充滿著憧憬和夢想，他們都依賴你的指引、塑造及培育，才能成為最好的個人和優(yōu)秀的公民。

We should always remember that even though teaching is a commonplace profession, there are many developing lives in your hands. Every one of those lives is so different, each one so important. Each life is full of vision and dreams for the future. They all rely on your guidance. It is your responsibility to shape, nurture and support students to become the best individuals and good citizens.
